The Photography Room was established in downtown Grand Rapids
in 2002 and has quickly emerged as one of the finest art galleries
in the country dedicated exclusively to the sale of photographic
art. The gallerys owner Brian Kelly is an accomplished
photographer who is pleased to offer fine art portraiture
services through The Photography Rooms downtown location.
Brian Kelly is best known for his black and white cityscape
photographs of Grand Rapids taken at night. The Grand River
and the lighted bridges throughout downtown have been consistent
subject matter of his work since 1996. His photographs are
widely collected privately and are also included in the collections
of many local corporations including Rockford Construction,
Mika Meyers Beckett & Jones, Alticor, The Amway Grand
Plaza Hotel, X-Rite, Aon Risk Corporation, Varnum Riddering
Schmidt & Howlett, ADAC Plastics, Grand Rapids/Kent County
Convention & Visitors Bureau, Grand Valley State University;
among many others.
Brian Kelly will photograph portraiture sessions primarily
in black and white both in the studio and on location. Kelly
also has extensive experience creating unique executive portraits
on location for corporations and advertising agencies in the
West Michigan area.
I believe black and white portraiture is the most timeless
and flattering way to be photographed, Kelly states.
My style of portrait photography is very distinct and
different than what is currently available in the portrait
market. I look forward to collaborating with each client to
produce photographs they will find unique and timeless.
Essentially, you have the opportunity to commission
an artist to create a work of art that is a pleasure to look
at for a lifetime, Brian Kelly added. Every print
we sell is a museum quality photograph; with proper care it
will last for generations.
